This piece features the American badger and one of her kits as well as a pumpkinseed fish, part of the bluegill family. Badgers have been Wisconsin's official state animal since 1957. Though still threatened  in other parts of North America, Conservation efforts (like making it illegal to trap/kill them) have seen their numbers flourish.  It's hard to see here but I also included a bunch of tiny earthworms since they make up about 80% of a badger's diet.

This 9" x9" giclee print is produced with archival ink on acid-free paper so that the color will not fade. Each print comes  signed by the artist.
